Youth Activites and Education Around the Bay
LWV Bay Area believes in empowering the next generation of voters. Through engaging programs and partnerships, local Leagues help students understand the power of their voices and the importance of civic participation.
We view our youth as critical to the future health of our democracy. With this in mind, leagues around the Bay Area are exploring a number of ways to increase youth awareness of issues affecting their lives. On a practical level, we encourage and assist voting-age youth to exercise the right to vote. Youth outreach is perhaps our most important mission.
Here are some links to excellent programs around the Bay. Is your League doing something amazing? Email us the details at lwvbayarea@gmail.com.

Youth Progams
The League of Women Voters (LWV) operates various regional and state-level Youth Councils aimed at high school and college students to promote civic engagement, voter registration, and political advocacy. Members of these councils run voter registration drives, host candidate forums, and participate in voter education events.
